Energy Safety Calendar Program, K-6
The Energy Safety Calendar Program offers K-6 students in our service territory a great opportunity to learn about electricity and natural gas safety. FREE wall-sized Energy Safety Calendars are available for K-6 teachers to display in their classrooms to help educate students about the important subject of electricity and natural gas safety!
- Calendar ordering is limited to Xcel Energy services areas only. Are you part of Xcel Energy's service territory? Check and see
- Calendars orders must by submitted by a school principal, school administrator, or school secretary
- Energy Safety Calendar distribution will start in early August 2010

Teachers, encourage your students to have fun with a serious subject by entering the Energy Safety Calendar Art Contest (contest rules). This excercise makes a great extra credit assignment. Here’s how it works:
- Teachers / students discuss electric and natural gas safety in class
- Create drawings about the safety messages
- Enter drawings in the Energy Safety Calendar Art Contest (beginning January 2010)
- Winning entries are featured on thousands of calendars on display in classrooms throughout the service territory
- Selected winners receive great prizes, along with their school being showcased on thousands of calendars
- All students participating in the contest receive a Certificate of Recognition
